Fourth of July Parade: Every Fourth of July Imbler holds an annual parade down its main street. People of all ages participate in the parade to show off America’s colors of red, white and blue! Imbler FFA students present a float every year.

November 11- Veteran’s Day: A public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954.

January 15- Martin Luther King Day: Day (officially Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.) is an American federal holiday marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It is observed on the third Monday of January each year, which is around King’s birthday, January 15.

February 19- Presidents Day: The third Monday in February observed as a legal holiday in most of the states of the U.S. in honor of the birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

May 28- Memorial Day: A day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May.

June- Eastern Oregon Livestock Show: Kids from 4-H and FFA clubs show and sell their livestock. Cowboys, riders, and ropers compete in PRCA Rodeo, with bull and bronc riding, parimutuel racing, barrel racing, and other traditional rodeo contests.

June- Hog Wild Days: The first weekend in June, for two days, food, craft, and game vendors mean plenty of shopping and fun for everyone. BBQ feed and Firemen Breakfast with a parade.

July- Crazy Days:  Crazy Days is a La Grande Main Street event that takes place the second weekend in July. Activities include a fireman’s breakfast, sidewalk sales, children’s activities, exhibits, food, shower tower, and fun for the whole family. In conjunction with Crazy Days, the Union County Timber Cruisers Car Club hosts the Grande Ronde-A-View Car Show on Saturday. Come early and stay late and enjoy the day. Fall- Farmer Merchant Banquet: The Union County Chamber of Commerce holds the Annual Farmers Merchant Banquet each fall at the Blue Mountain Conference Center to recognize and honor our past, present and future generations of our agriculture members. Contact the Union County Chamber office at 963-8588 for dates and details.

Spring- Chamber Awards Banquet:  Once each year, Chamber members and friends gather for an evening of fun, food, and celebration. Guests are treated to a gourmet feast and engaging entertainment. Several prestigious awards are presented to individuals who exemplify a positive influence on Union County, and to recognize their efforts to promote our community and resources. August- Union County Fair: Come to our old-fashioned rural fair on the first weekend in August with pigs, cows, chickens, goats, bunnies and horses. We encourage 4-H competition with sewing, crafting, jams & jellies and much more. Bring your friends and family from toddlers to seniors. Festivities include: Parade, Live entertainment, Carnival, Animal judging, Exhibit barns, Quilts, Home goods, Art, Local produce.
